We seek a Director of Workforce Training to oversee daily program operations and help the organization to responsibly scale. The Director will lead and grow our workforce training programs to train, support and prepare individuals overcoming barriers to employment to access careers in the building trades. The Director will be an experienced supervisor who successfully develops, motivates and supports a highly functioning team. The Director will serve as a critical member of the organization’s leadership team, and will engage in everything from strategic vision to board engagement to communications to fundraising.

The Director will be a dynamic leader with significant experience in workforce development and deep knowledge of the building trades/construction industry.

This is a full-time salaried position, Monday-Friday typically between 8:00am and 5:00pm. The Director of Workforce Training reports to the Executive Director.

We seek an Alumni Services Coordinator who can build and maintain strong relationships with our program alumni in order to help them meet their long-term goals. The Alumni Services Coordinator will play a key role in building a supportive alumni community, organizing social and networking events, providing individual case management, and uplifting alumni voices to steer the organization’s workforce training initiatives.

The nonprofit Rebuilding Exchange seeks a Deconstruction Sales Consultant to contribute to the growth of our Deconstruction Services social enterprise, including business development, sales generation, and customer service. We’re seeking an experienced salesperson who is aligned with our mission and values. The ideal Deconstruction Sales Consultant is excited to sell our environmentally focused services, and show home owners how the deconstruction process can help their renovation projects divert building materials from landfills.

This is a part-time, hourly position for up to 20 hours a week as an independent contractor. Hours are flexible but generally completed Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm. The majority of job sites are within 30 miles of the 60202 zip code, but may be throughout the greater Chicagoland area.

We’re seeking a part time sales associate with weekend availability who is excited to help our customers learn more about deconstruction and creative reuse of home materials.

You are part of a team at Rebuilding Exchange, and your role is important. As a retail associate, your responsibilities include supporting your fellow staff, assisting customers, and cleaning, organizing, and merchandising products. We’re seeking a retail associate who wants to learn more about home renovation and deconstruction, and who will provide a welcoming and helpful experience for people to buy and donate home materials. The retail, logistics, and workforce training teams collaborate on projects and work together to move and organize donated materials and appliances throughout the store.

This is a part time hourly position, and you must have Saturday and Sunday availability from 10am-6pm. The Sales Associate reports to the Retail Store Manager.
