THIS IS A 2 DAY CLASS Thursday, February 2nd from 12:30 to 3:00pm AND Thursday, February 9th from 12:30-3:00pm.
Have fun and be creative in the Rebuilding Exchange Community Mosaic Class. We will be creating mosaic pieces from our own supply of tiles and surfaces. Create your own design, make it bold and bright; or monotone and cool. It’s up to you!!
If you have old china, or sentimental pieces (plates work best), and want to use your own pieces to create your piece, we can work with that! We will have a selection of picture frames, cabinet doors and larger tiles to use as a mosaic base. You are welcome to bring your own surface from home. Flat surfaces are easiest when beginning. Maximum size is roughly 1 square foot.
We will review various techniques to cut, nip, break and smash pieces to use in your mosaic.
The first session we will design and glue your pieces. You will learn how to prepare the surface, tips for designing your pieces, best ways to cut pieces and gluing options. By the end of the class, you will have a mosaic complete and ready for grouting.
The second session, we will grout the pieces and you can take them home that day and they will be ready for use!

Please park along Hartrey St. or in the lot at the southwest corner of Dempster and Hartrey.
All materials are included in the workshop fee.
We will be in a warehouse so please dress safely (closed toed shoes)!
REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
If you can’t make it to a class, you can transfer your ticket to someone else. Just email nancy@evanstonrebuildingwarehouse.org with their name and email address.
If the Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse needs to cancel a workshop, we will notify you 24 hours before the class and give you the option of refund or reschedule.
We do not currently offer other refunds or transfers between classes.
