This is a 3-session class that meets on consecutive weeks for students ages 14+
We’re taking the old woodshop standby, the cutting board, to the next level and making one-of-a-kind chess boards from wood with pieces from found objects.
You’ll learn to use the table saw, miter saw and planer along with sanding and hand tools while constructing your board. We’ll cover how to measure and cut to make sure your corners align and your boards are square. You’ll use found objects from the warehouse to create your own unique pieces from metal and/or wood. Your family and friends will be astounded by how talented you are.
