In this 4- week class, Beginning Woodworking students will learn the fundamentals of woodworking through hands-on workshop projects. Students will be taught how to identify and understand lumber, plan simple projects, and use hand tools and power tools with safe and effective technique. The goal of this class is to introduce middle schoolers to the joys of working with wood as a medium for practical and creative projects. Each student will walk away from the course with projects that allow them to put multiple techniques into practice.
