THE BOX TRUCK FILM: BUILDING A REUSEFUL HOME, Screening and Panel Discussion

The Rebuilding Exchange is excited to present The Box Truck Film: Building a Reuseful Home. This thought-provoking documentary follows two scrappy reuse enthusiasts as they transform a box truck into a sustainable and functional living space using only reclaimed materials.

Discover the challenges they faced, the unique design solutions they came up with, and the practical tips they have to offer for building your own reuseful home.

After the screening, we will have a Panel Discussion where you can engage with people doing similar work.

  • Chris Travis, full-time professor and part-time renovator. Chris has renovated multiple homes with reclaimed materials that he rents at affordable rates.
  • Ed Hanlon, Project Manager for Designs for Dignity. Ed works to transform non profit environments through pro bono design services and in-kind donations.
  • Nika Vaughn, Director of Social Enterprise for Rebuilding Exchange. Nika sources reclaimed materials for use in residential and commercial designs.
